Magers and Quinn Booksellers is an independent bookstore with new, used, out-of-print and collectible books.  We are located in the heart of the popular Uptown neighborhood in Minneapolis, near the lakes for which the city is famous. We are one of the largest independent bookstores in Minnesota. Our offerings represent all subjects and feature everything from unusual and hard-to-find editions to popular favorites and current releases.

For over 20 years we have been sharing our love of books and reading with a passion to contribute to a livable community in which books play an important part. We are a function of our great Twin Cities community of readers, and a welcoming place for travelers.

We are made up of booksellers with a combined experience that covers everything from antiquarian books to contemporary releases.  It is difficult to pick favorites, but individually when we do, we read history, art, gaming, gardening, books for kids and young adults, music, alternative history, poetry, folklore, and fiction including mysteries, fantasy, and science fiction, graphic novels, speculative, Gothic and British fiction.

In addition to being readers, we are musicians and artists, tech geeks and theater geeks, nature lovers and TV watchers, students and educators, loners and family people,  year-round bikers, pet owners, writers and travelers. We tend to appreciate the quirky in life and a good sense of humor.  A shared love of books brings us together.

Books teach, provide escape, tell us stories, build community.  We thank our lucky stars that we are able to work in this colorful world in which we learn something every day, and can share our love of the printed word and the art of the book in a community of fellow book lovers.
