I just stumbled upon the blog Beyond the Bestseller and was impressed with today’s item, a list of suggested books. I’d actually like to read many of them:

• Three Bags Full, in which a flock of sheep solves the murder of their herder,
• Museum: Behind the Scenes at the Metropolitan Museum of Art by Danny Danziger, and
• Chasing Kangaroos by Tim Flannery (There’s been used copies of his wonderful first book Throwim Way Leg on the shelf for months now. It’s a gripping memoir of Flannery’s time working as a biologist in New Guinea.)

I’ll be watching this blog to see if their future recommendations are as good as September’s.–David E
